A Frenchman in America eats Breakfast

Jean-Pierre was born in Paris, France, and has lived in or near Paris most of his life. One morning during a trip to the United States...

"In the morning I usually eat a very light breakfast: 1 coffee with a small amount of milk and 1 piece of bread (French if possible) with butter. In the hotel where I stayed, I wondered why it was impossible to find bread (even for toast) at the buffet. They had only a lot of pastries (heavy, full of grease and sugar... BEEUUURK) When I requested "normal bread", the waiter was surprised because I really didn't want to taste the wonderful pastries. Finally they found bread for toast for me. The next 3 mornings they reserved toast just for me. Very nice isn't it?"
