Local Passport Acceptance OfficesLocal passport acceptance offices are in US Post Offices in larger cities and in county courthouses in rural areas. First, click on your state in the list below. The passport acceptance offices are arranged by county, alphabetically. Look for your county, first. If there are no passport offices in your county, then check neighboring counties. It is important to phone in advance, as passport acceptance hours usually vary from regular post office customer service hours and it may be necessary to get an advance appointment. If you are going to a county or municipal clerk, phone in advance to query office hours and see if you need an appointment. Not all counties offer passport acceptance services. You may need to visit a neighboring county courthouse. Phone and confirm in advance. If you need information about a passport acceptance office in a post office, you can call the United States Postal Service toll free number 800-275-8777 and query available hours of the passport acceptance agent in selected post offices. Please remember that the operators at this number know only about post office acceptance offices; they would have no information about county clerks, public libraries, city or town clerks or clerks of court offices. | AL | AK | AR | AZ | CA | CO | CT | DC | DE | FL | GA | HI | IA | ID | IL | IN | KS | KY | LA | MA | MD | ME | MI | MN | MO | MS | MT | NE | NH | NC | ND | NJ | NM | NV | NY | OH | OK | OR | PA | RI | SC | SD | TN | TX | UT | VA | VT | WA | WI | WV | WY | For the National Passport Information Center and walk-in Passport Agencies, see Passport Agencies.
