Pre-registering foreign goods before departing for an international trip
You may register your goods with either the Port Office in Ybor City or with
US Customs in the Air Cargo facility at the Tampa airport. Their business hours
are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
US Customs in Tampa suggest that you phone in advance and get specific
directions to their office, as well as parking advice. The Air Cargo facility
can be reached at 813-348-1714 and the Port Office at 813-228-2385 ext 119. If
you plan to visit Customs just before your flight, then you will need to allow
the time to go to the Air Cargo facility, then drive around to the airport
itself.
